Who is this lad?
Hi there
Since your Internet exploration has landed on this page, I’m more than likely inclined to believe you would like to get to know me, thus I will try to feed your brain’s curiosity as well as I can.
For many, many years, some of them very long years, I have been highly interested in technology. I have went through several of the “tech stages” throughout my life, finally settling down on one that I like, development.
Most of my software development follows the K.I.S.S concept. Priority A is to create something that is quick and powerful, while retaining simplicity. Priority 1 is to create software based around what my users want.
The majority of my desktop development is accomplished with help from Nokia’s Qt toolkit. I attempt to make anything that I distribute on a wide scale open to anybody who desires to use it, regardless of platform. Quick-and-dirty applications, certain applications I’m consulted to work on, and portions of my Web Application work are completed in the C# language, with the .NET or Mono virtual machines. Additional web application work is done in PHP.
Generally speaking, I don’t accept the thoughts and opinions of other people to try to be “cool” or “fit in”, I form my own, despite how outrageous [on technical matter] they may be. I find myself, and other people who approach this ever growing field with the same thought style to succeed further than those following the crowd.
On a personal level however, I enjoy each and every one of my friends (even though I can keep to myself sometimes), my great family, my wonderful white, fluffy, and almost snotty in a way, canine Maggie, spending time in the outdoors (but not in these harsh winters), the city of Chicago, food that is not burgers, the symphony, the theatre, an occasional college party, and a wide array of music.
I’m a college student, currently attending a local community college, with near-future plans to transfer to University of Illinois. I have plans on starting up a Systems Repair company within the near future. I am A+ Certified (EMail for Career ID).
Well, that’s most of my story, and I’m sticking to it.
